Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC)

URJC is a young University (7 years old) in the Madrid (Spain) area. It has four campuses (engineering, information sciences, biological sciences and law and social sciences). URJC offers both undergraduate and graduate studies in all these areas, and includes both teaching and research personnel. In this project, two research and teaching groups are specially involved: GSyC (Systems and Communications Group) and Statistics Group. In addition, the University as an institution, by means of the Vicerrectorado of International Relations and New Technologies, is directly involved and interested in this project.

Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP)

FEUP is one of the leading Engineering Schools in Portugal, with origins on the XVIII century. It is one of the largest Schools in the University of Porto, the largest University in Portugal, with several campuses throughout the city of Porto. The School is formed by 7 Departments, which offer 10 undergraduate degree programs, 24 Masters degree programs and 12 Ph. D. programs in various fields of Engineering.

Institute for Industrial Production / French-German Institute for Environmental Research (IIP)

The University of Karlsruhe (TH) was founded in 1825, following the model of the École Polytéchnique in Paris and thus the oldest technical university in Germany. The 12 faculties offer about 40 study courses for its 16,000 students. The Faculty of the Sciences of Economics is the youngest faculty of the University of Karlsruhe while at the same time having a lot tradition. The "Institute for Industrial Production (IIP)"http://www-iip.wiwi.uni-karlsruhe.de/ is responsible for the education of business engineers with courses on Production Management, with an focus on Environmental issues.

Ustav teorie informace a automatizace (UTIA)

UTIA is a very broadly oriented scientific institution. Its activity ranges from theoretical and teaching to algorithmic and software applications, having experts in all these areas. The main areas of the research of its technical part are modeling estimation and control of stochastic processes, computer aided design, pattern recognition and digital analysis of picture information.

School of Computing / Leeds University (SOC/LU)

The University of Leeds is one of the largest UK universities offering a wide range of academic courses. Universita della Svizzera Italiana / Institute of Communication Technologies (USI)

USI, the university of the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, is located in Lugano, a vigorous city in Switzerland's sourhernmost canton of Ticino. USI is the newest among the nine cantonal universities and two federal institutes of technology open to the Swiss academic community. It's the country's only university where Italian is the official language. The USI two sites in Lugano and Mendrisio include the Faculties of Economics and Communication Sciences (based in Lugano) as well as the Academy of Architecture, based in Mendrisio.
